Scholarships

The LASCALA master recruits excellent students from all over the world and the selection is very competitive: approximately 20 Erasmus Mundus scholarships and 5 Paris-Saclay scholarships are awarded every year!

Please note that no Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be offered for the class of 2025/2027.

All nationalities are elegible to the Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus scholarship. However, students are divided into two different categories: programme country students and partner country students.


Programme country scholarships are awarded to:

  • Students who are nationals of any EU member state;
  • Students who are nationals from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, Turkey, and Macedonia;
  • End of June: deadline for self-financed admissions;
  • Students who have resided or carried out their main activities (studies, work, etc.) in any of the above mentioned countries for more than 12 months over the past five years.

Partner country scholarships are awarded to students who do not fulfil the Programme country criteria mentioned above.

Contribution to travel and installation cost

1 000 EUR per year per scholarship holder resident in a Programme Country for travel costs

2 000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1.000 EUR for installation costs for a scholarship holder, resident in a Partner Country less than 4000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.

3 000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1.000 EUR for installation costs for a scholarship holder, resident in a Partner Country 4000 km or more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.

The scholarship payment will be stopped in the following cases:

  • Partner country students carrying out part of their studies in a Partner country for more than 3 months;
  • Students carrying out part of their studies in their country of residence.

Please note that no bank transfer will be made until the student arrives at the first host university.

There is no official limit to the possible number of applications for Erasmus Mundus masters. However, it is recommended to focus on programmes specificly suited to one's profile and study plan.

Paris-Saclay Scholarships

Are eligible

  • International students, aged 30 or less during the course of the selection year.
  • International students living on the French territory for less than a year, previously or currently enrolled in a training course, language course or internship that does not lead to the award of a degree.
  • Students who have lived in France in the past, within the framework of a mobility programme during their studies (e.g. Erasmus exchange programme...) that did not lead to the award of a degree.
  • Studies must take place at the University of Paris-Saclay for semester 1, 3 and 4.

Are not ineligible

  • All students who have been or who are enrolled in a French higher education institution, except international students enrolled in a French higher education institution abroad.
  • Students who have interrupted their studies for more than 3 consecutive years.
  • Students receiving any other type of funding that exceeds 650€ per month.

Financial conditions

  • First year: 10 000€.
  • Second year: 10 000€. In addition, the 6-month internship during semester 4 is paid approximately 550€/month.
  • A maximum of 1000€ for travel and visa (reimbursement)

This scholarship do not include support for tuition fees.
